Templeton Farms Equestrian

Add to plan Remove from plan

The 52 acre farm lies along the banks of the Salinas River and features 10 acres of irrigated pasture, a state-of-the-art 24 stall center aisle barn, a 35,000 square foot covered riding arena, a 20 x 30 meter oval horse exerciser, and a mile long perimeter trail. These facilities are being brought together to satisfy the growing need for a first class horse breeding, training and sales farm in San Luis Obispo County.
The farm is the realization of the dream of owner, Gina Bornino Miller, a United States Dressage Federation Gold Medalist who is currently showing Grand Prix Dressage at the national level. According to Ms. Bornino Miller, “The strong equestrian and agricultural heritage of the county coupled with the continued growth of the area make it the ideal location for a world class horse farm” She added, “We believe that with this facility we will make an important addition to the county’s resources for raising and training sport horses for both competition and sale.”
In addition to Ms. Bornino Miller, Templeton Farms Equestrian is proud to announce that two local trainers will base their businesses at the farm. Brian Hafner, specializing in Dressage, is a USDF Gold Medalist and a contender for the 2011 US Pan American Team. Hunter/Jumper trainer Lisa Ciesniewski and her show stables Dark Horse Farms specialize in the development and sales of Show Jumpers and Derby Hunters. “As well as Brian and Lisa,” Ms. Bornino Miller said, “we look forward to hosting other local trainers and occasional visiting trainers as the business develops.”
