The Space
Refugio is a contemporary Spanish-style guesthouse, a peaceful retreat, and a place to wind down at magic hour with a glass of our excellent local wine on one of two private decks, or the large patio. Indulge your inner chef in your dreamy, fully equipped kitchen: two 4-burner Gaggenau cooktops, two convection ovens, two dishwashers, huge, French-door fridge/freezer, ice-maker and dual-zone wine cooler. Super-efficient heating and A/C. Or travel 6 minutes to the center of Paso and all its wonderful dining options. We call Refugio a "B and B," but the second "B" stands for a bottle of great wine.
Guest Access
The whole house is yours, including an expansive patio shaded with pergola and market umbrellas, plus of course the two immaculate and completely private suites. You have free range of two and half acres of pasture, including two ancient oak trees.
Interaction with Guests
You may or may not encounter your hosts during your stay, but the Refugio manager can help with any concerns. Please do not disturb occupants of the main house.
The Neighborhood
Refugio is in the bucolic heart of California’s Central Coast wine country, in a rural-residential area of oak-dotted 5-acre ranchettes just six minutes from Paso Robles leafy main square. Many nearby properties have horses and other livestock. Great for walking!
