December

6 - 9:30pm

Celebrate New Year's Eve in downtown Paso Robles with an outdoor concert and old-fashioned bonfire.

The event, running from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., will feature live music by the JC Smith Band, a high energy Chicago blues-style group. With music ranging from Jumpin’ Blues to Old School Soul, this band can whip any audience into a dancing machine.

There will also be a DJ, a 20-foot tall bonfire, Firestone Walker beer, local wine and two food trucks. A 9:00 p.m. ball drop is set to coincide with midnight on the East Coast so attendees can enjoy the ceremony of ringing in the New Year and still be home before midnight.

Admission and parking are free.

About the JC Smith Band: J. C. Smith, winner of the 2012 Metro Newspapers Best Of Silicon Valley “Best Original/Local Band”, and 2006 Bay Area Blues Society West Coast Blues Band of the Year award winner is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. He is an outstanding performer noted for his energy and charisma. Since the J.C. Smith Band formed in 2001, with Smith on lead guitar, they have performed with Pinetop Perkins, opened a B.B. King show and regularly tour everywhere from Latvia to Central Mexico. Known in Paso as the high-energy band from Tobin James Winery's annual Zinfest party and Paso Robles' 125th anniversary party, this band has become a local favorite and is worth coming out for.
