In June, artist and children's educator Anna Meyrick continues her series of dynamic art classes for children. Each week she presents different projects, encouraging and supporting students as they learn, experiment, and create! Students must preregister. $20 fee per class includes all materials.
June 12: Gold Leaf, Gel Pens & Opaque Pencils, Oh MY!
Students create their own gold leaf trees or design of their choice. They learn about opaque colors on a black background. Students also learn how gold leaf is created and its use in art applications over time.
June 19: Light & Beautiful Paper Flower Mobiles
Students learn how to create flowers from paper. Numerous styles and designs are demonstrated. Students also have access to Anna’s large paper collection. After fashioning paper flowers, they can create ethereal flower mobiles.
June 26: Moonlight Kitty in Oil Pastels
In this class students learn how to make a variation of Anna's beloved Moonlight Kitty. Students learn about color, composition and how to use and layer oil pastels.
